Welcome to the Interactive Introduction Course for the FabLab

Welcome!

In this course, you’ll get to know the most important machines, tools, and work areas that you'll encounter in the digital workshop.

🧭 The goal of this module is to give you a virtual overview of the FabLab – including its typical machines, workspaces, and creative processes. You will:

  • learn about the basic tools and devices, how they work, and how they are used,

  • practice key terms and technical vocabulary related to digital fabrication and craftsmanship,

  • reinforce your knowledge through short, interactive exercises, matching tasks, and quizzes.

Whether it's a 3D printer, laser cutter, CNC milling machine, or pegboard – soon you'll know what’s where, what it’s called, and what it’s used for.

This course does not replace a hands-on safety or machine briefing, but it will help you find your way around the FabLab with more confidence and awareness.

Good luck – and enjoy exploring!
